On March 2,2013 inthe Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan a gala presentation with a delivery of personal certificates to artisans of Central Asia took place. Some products got the UNESCO award of Excellence.

The international jury estimated handicraft products in accordance with five key criteria: excellence in production, cultural authenticity, innovation features or techniques, potential for the world market, eco-friendly materials and processes in terms of fairness and equity in the production process.

It should be noticed, Aigul Zhanserikova is being the winner of 5 “UNESCO award of Excellence” certificates. She has the biggest amount of such rewards inKazakhstan. With two of them she was honored in 2010.

The “UNESCO award of Excellence” covers such products of Aigul Zhanserikova as:

• the line of felt products for interior (tekemets, pillows, korpeshe);
• the line of felt scarves in combination with silk;
• the line of felt blankets and plaids;
• the line of children’s clothes (vests and babies shoes);

the line of felt accessories (berets, scarves, gloves).

January, 30 to February, 3, Spain. Aigul Zhanserikova took part on the official Kazakh delegation at Fitur-2013, the International Tourism Fair, which was held in the Spanish capital, Madrid.  This is one of the most prestigious international fairs, which takes place in the Spanish capital since 1981. Kazakhstan's exhibition stand had been represented here for the seventh time. Our delegation was headed by the Chairman of Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the RK, K.M. Tanysbaev. The guests found out more about the country and its regions and also checked out the proposals of Kazakhstan tour operators. Video clips devoted to Kazakhstan, various printed materials with the sights of our country, and souvenirs made of felt attracted large numbers of visitors to the Kazakhstan stand like a magnet.
